Likened only to the wretchedness of Hell by the civilised world, the Electric
City is a plethora of sex, lawlessness, possibility and music. The city is perpetually shrouded in ominous dark clouds as if the sun couldn’t bear to illumine such hedonistic anarchy. But the beauty, and the palpable potential for absolutely anything the senses could desire, brings this dark and magical place to life.
Welcome to Electric City.
This time residing over the nights proceedings - all the way from the Old World International heavyweight, bass supremist Tom EQ (Potatoheads).
Prepare to have your perceptions altered, your mind blown, your senses invaded, your body rocked and your soul changed.
Your Wardens for the night :
Tom EQ (UK):
Toms motto as a producer says it all. Make BANGERS - not Anthems! His style has been described as "jacking electro glitch bass funk" others have stated "jackin’ beats, chunky drums and driving bass", some have called it Fidget - all we can say is - its something you will need to experience for yourself.
Sam World
Sam has played alongside some of the biggest names in the world. Think DJ Chuckie, Guetta, Tiesto and many more. On this night he will be digging deep into his record collection to bring you new, hard, dark, jacking beats guaranteed to keep you dancing.

Brick City GO!!
Brick City black edition.
//
The time has come for the next installment of BC and this month we are doing something a bit different.
We are paying tribute to our past successors by giving them a slot on the night. This doesn't mean auditions are a thing of the past as we are leaving one space open for whoever we think deserves it.
//
Demos will still be posted on the blog for you to vote on and we will gather this information on the closing date and work out the winner.
So again, we urge everyone to push and promote whoever they think deserves to win by casting a vote on whatever BC platform.
//
These are the rules::
//
1) Auditions end on the 18th of August.
2) Votes will be tallied and a final announcement will be made on the 19th.
3) All demos must be submitted with a soundcloud account.
4) Demos performed off software need to be controlled by a MIDI device.
5) Any form of electronica is accepted.
6) You must be 18 or over to enter. We would still like to hear your mix regardless so don't hesitate to send it in if you are under 18.
//
BC black edition is guaranteed to be nothing short of awesome. Our history of bringing up and helping Cape Towns youth in todays scene is a job worthy of its name. Already a handful of BC found talent are in constant supply in and around Cape Towns night clubs and venues, playing what they feel and gaining success as they move along.
//
Come share the experience on the 20th at Fiction DJ bar.

Remedy DJ Crew: Dercs/ Dublusion
Dane Stirrat is 19 years old and lived in Cape Town his whole life. Some say he can find the needle in the haystack and that he can actually drive at night with his lights off, but amongst these natural talents he plays some mean Electro and Dubstep.
When he purely plays Dubstep he falls under the mysterious name of Dublusion, otherwise Dercs is the not so sweaty name! Being a producer too, you can expect some biiiiiig tunes coming out in the near future!

Remedy DJ Crew: Va Va
DJ Va-Va grew up in the Mother City, Cape Town. He got into djing when at the age of 13 he received a djing program for his computer from a friend. He would throw huge house parties during high school where he could show off his skills on the djing software but he always knew there was more to djing than sitting in front of a computer and clicking buttons with a mouse. At the age of 16 he got to try his hand at playing on Pioneer cdjs. It was a whole new level and required a lot more skill to use than the software he was used to. At 17 he had no choice but to move to Port Elizabeth with his parents, although this move wasn’t great on a social level it did help him to further his passion for DJing. He had his first club gig in P.E. in that same year, and along with a buddy from school they’d do various gigs from school socials to playing in the top clubs when the opportunity presented itself. After matriculating in P.E, he has decided to move back to the Mother City and further his passion for djing and electronic music!

Remedy DJ Crew: Das Kapital
Maximal noise, minimal survivors.
Das Kapital is the culmination of 19 years of filthy gutter music.
Already receiving play from DJs for his remixes and productions, as well as wide support for his monster electro sets, it's all about one thing now:
A little less conversation, a little more bassline.
